My computer has been freezing up.  It will restart.  Last time I had to restart it, I got the message "Deleting corrupt attribute record (128, " ") from file record segment 97381."  Apparently it was running CHKDSK.
It also said "Inserting data attribute into file 97381."I know that my hosts file is clean. Also, I have Webroot Spysweeper, Lavasoft Ad-Aware, Symantec Endpoint Protection all updated and ran recently. Windows updates are up to date. I'm still using IE7 because a website I need to use it not compatible with IE8.I have been checking hashes of processes running on my computer with Bit9 Fileadvisor, and it seems that everything showing up as running in Windows Task Manager is safe. Please help.1 person needs an answerI do too
